Christian Albright and Christian Magby are building momentum by creating musical theatre work that reflects the world we live in today. They specialize in character-driven songs that blend theatrical sensibility with contemporary sound, incorporating musical influences from Hip-Hop, Pop, Country to Jazz. Their work is defined by memorable melodies, rich emotional arcs, and a love of extraordinary moments.

Their next project The Great Ant Sleepover [Music & Lyrics] an Alliance Theatre commission, will premiere at the Goizueta Stage for Youth and Families in May of 2026.

Albright and Magby wrote the score for the world premiere musical adaptation of Milo Imagines the World (2024/25), originally co-produced by Chicago Children’s Theatre (CCT), Children’s Theatre Company (CTC), and the Rose Theatre. It opened the Alliance Theatre’s 25/26 season. Their song, “Another Sunday,” from Milo Imagines the World, was an official selectee for the 2025 TYA/USA National Festival & Conference Song Slam Cabaret.

Their previous projects include the musical adaptations, The Incredible Book Eating Boy (2022) [Music & Lyrics] and Into the Burrow (2023) [Song Credit], a musical adaptation of the story of Peter Rabbit. Their first original musical Mother of God (2022) [Book, Music & Lyrics] premiered at the Southwest Performing arts Center.

Albright and Magby are recipients of the 2025 Aurand Harris Individual Fellowship, honored by The Children’s Theatre Foundation of America (CTFA).
